|Job Description Summary||
Two-year fully funded (source: NIH/NIAID) postdoctoral position is available starting May of 2021 in Solinska Laboratory at the Department of Biological Sciences, Auburn University. The research will involve investigation of the N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification in the context of Kaposi’s sarcoma- and primary effusion lymphoma-associated human herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8). The project will involve the application of variety of molecular biology, cell biology, and bioinformatic approaches to characterize the influence of m6A on viral long-noncoding RNA biology, i.e., stability, structure, intermolecular, as well as HHV-8 infectivity cycle, i.e., replication, progeny virion production, infectivity. Understanding these interactions could enable the development of novel therapeutic and antiviral interventions.
