The Staff Research Associate II (SRA II) will be under direct supervision of the Chief of Surgical Oncology, in the Department of Surgery at UCSF. The individual will perform research and analytical functions in support of the team in the surgical oncology translational laboratory. In addition, the individual will provide administrative support for the surgical oncology translational laboratory effort. Research projects involve immunologic, molecular, genetic, and cellular-based studies to examine the phenotype and function of immune cells in infiltrating metastatic deposits from solid tumors. These studies are performed, in part, on tumor samples from preclinical murine models, human cells, and patient-derived tissues. The findings will have direct translational impact on current and future clinical trials using immunotherapy for patients with cancer.
