This work could exert a profound effect in the field by first, defining a novel class of tumor antigens, induced by tumor microenvironmental conditions, which could be shared by multiple cancers and is likely absent in healthy cells. Second, these studies could provide a rationale a new generation of vaccines to prevent carcinogenesis or tumor recurrence.
