Essential Job Duties
Curriculum Management
- Chair the PCOM Undergraduate Curriculum & Assessment Committee and coordinate activities
- Manage all Poole undergraduate and graduate curricular processes in keeping with university regulations and requirements as put forth by the University Courses and Curriculum Committee (UCCC) and/or University Council on Undergraduate Education (CUE). Graduate curricular activity management will need to be done as a support to the Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs and Associate Dean of Academic Programs.
- Develop a methodology for predicting course demand and enrollment; collaborate with department heads and Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs in identifying the course and enrollment needs.
- Provide administrative management and oversight of all undergraduate minor, certificate, honor and partner programs.
- Provide management and oversight of all course scheduling efforts (in collaboration with department heads, Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs and program directors).
- Provide management and oversight of all degree certifications and student records.
- Support Poole faculty and campus partners regarding new course and program development, curricular processes and procedures, and related topics.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Academic Advising and/or Director of Global programs regarding relevant curricular topics.
- Provide regular monthly updates to OUP staff, faculty, and college staff regarding curricular changes/policies/processes and assessment activities.
Assessment & Data
- Work closely with Faculty Director of Accreditation for SACS program-level assessment for all undergraduate programs (accounting, business administration, economics).
- Work closely with the Director of Accreditation and Associate Dean of Academic Programs to support AACSB program-level assessment process.
- Coordinate and manage the maintenance of all documentation, records and historical data for PCOM undergraduate courses and curricula, undergraduate assessment and undergraduate student records.
- Coordinate creation of internal documentation regarding processes and decision making with regard to curriculum changes, student curricular exceptions, course equivalencies, etc.
- Provide support to the maintenance of curricular related portions of the website (collaborating with other units as needed for a holistic approach to the presentation of information).
- Other within OUP
College and University Representation
- Serve on other university-level committees as needed regarding academic standards for an undergraduate course and curricula processes, policies and procedures.
- Represent Poole College of Management at relevant university events.
- Active participation in Poole College of Management events including evenings and weekends as needed to effectively execute the responsibilities of the position.
This position is a Hybrid-Eligible position

Minimum Education and Experience
- Require post-baccalaureate credentials or a bachelor’s degree plus alternative or equivalent professional training and experience may be substituted for the advanced degree on an exceptional basis.
Other Required Qualifications
- Experience with program development and assessment strategies.
- Strong data analytics skill set.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines consistently while applying analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interact effectively and efficiently with a wide range of varied constituencies including faculty, staff, and university representatives on multiple levels.
- Knowledge of curriculum development and instructional design.
- Experience in administering a comprehensive set of rules and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to explain, interpret, and apply rules and policies in a rational, objective, and consistent manner.
- Strong skills in management, program planning, organization, administration, supervision, and communication.
- Solid investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain discretion in conversations regarding sometimes highly-sensitive and confidential matters.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as ability to work independently.
- Knowledge and skill with technology including software programs for curriculum, data collection, decision making, communication, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least three years’ experience related to curriculum management, assessment, and/or academic scheduling with demonstrated success in meeting goals and outcomes in a university or college setting.
- Familiarity and experience with North Carolina State University scheduling, instructional, and curricular policies, processes, and procedures.
- Teaching experience at post-secondary level.
- Experience with strategic planning and quality improvement.
- Supervisory experience.
- Doctorate in related field preferred.
