Job Description

Ohio Dominican University's Division of Business seeks a full-time assistant professor or instructor in accounting for the 2023-2024 academic year. The Division of Business offers seven undergraduate majors and two graduate programs.

Ohio Dominican University is a coed, four-year private university in Columbus, Ohio. The successful candidate will possess at least a master's degree (MSA, MAcc, MBA, etc.) in accounting, taxation, or business with a minimum of 18 semester graduate hours in relevant coursework in accounting and a professional certification in accounting (e.g. CPA, CMA). A doctorate in accounting or business with a professional certification in accounting is preferred. All degrees must be from accredited institutions and earned by the time of hire. Prior teaching experience at the college level and professional work experience in accounting are desired.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong interest in quality teaching, student advising, and leadership of accounting student organizations. The teaching load will be twenty-four credits per academic year. Responsibilities include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in the different delivery formats, development of courses to support traditional and adult programs, and service to the university, community, and division. Candidates must support the university's Catholic identity and its mission in the Dominican tradition to serve all seekers of truth.
