The candidate must be an expert in observational data collection, survey research techniques and data analysis. The candidate will utilize those areas of expertise to support the funded research projects and accompanying publication projects of Dr. Noah Dormady (Glenn-PUBAFRS). Those projects involve survey research to evaluate, study and quantify resilience of businesses and communities to disruptions, supply-chain disruptions and stressors, and hazard events. Those projects also involve survey research to evaluate the resilience, efficiency and equity considerations of energy deregulation for households and businesses. The candidate will support these survey research projects by effectively collaborating with Dr. Dormadys existing research teams, coauthors and other principal investigators at other universities, government agencies, and private-sector collaborators and research partners and affiliates. The candidate will support these research efforts by effectively completing tasks associated with survey design, sampling methodology creation and development, human subjects protocol development and administrative approvals, community engagement with stakeholders and research subjects as needed, data analysis, professional and academic writing, professional and academic presentation, and professional and academic publication. Some research travel within the US may be required. The candidate will be required to work effectively and professionally with a multidisciplinary team, and engage in light mentorship of graduate and undergraduate students in preparation for future mentorship responsibilities. The candidate will be required to effectively meet timetables and deliverables as per needs of Dr. Dormady and funding agencies. The candidate will also be expected to effectively handle multiple objective assignments.
