Job Description

Description: The College of Business at Charleston Southern University invites applications for an Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Business position beginning August 1, 2023. Qualified candidates should be professing Christians committed to excellence in leading, learning and serving. They should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education and be willing to explore with students the integration of faith and learning.
 
Responsibilities: The teaching load will include instructing undergraduate and graduate students in a traditional and/or online format. There is a 12-credit hour teaching load per semester. Faculty members are also called upon to participate in academic advising, serve on committees, and engage in service and scholarly activities. The successful candidate will be committed to “Integrating through Christ, Community, and Commerce” in teaching and scholarly activities, and advancing the Christian mission of the University.
 
Qualifications: Minimal education requirements include master's degree in entrepreneurship or an MBA with successful entrepreneurship experience. A terminal degree (PhD, DBA) in marketing, entrepreneurship, or other related programs is preferred. This degree should be from a regionally accredited and business accredited institutions (AACSB, ACBSP or IACBE). Eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in marketing or entrepreneurship are required. The search committee prefers practical business experience in entrepreneurship with teaching experience, and research capability in the areas of marketing and/or entrepreneurship (innovation). Teaching responsibilities may include but are not limited to undergraduate courses in entrepreneurship, innovation, marketing, new product development, and data analytics, if qualified. Applicants with doctoral qualifications may teach business analytics and advanced marketing management at the graduate level.
