Position Description

The Jindal School of Management seeks to fill a full-time non-tenure system faculty position (Assistant Professor of Instruction or Assistant Professor of Practice) in the Finance area. The Candidate will be expected to teach courses in the area and help to grow the program. In addition to teaching, duties will include, but not be limited to, advising students and serving on committees.

The appointment commences for the Fall 2024 semester.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience: A PhD in Finance or a related discipline is required prior to employment; those with ABD status will be considered at the application/interviewing stage. Candidates are expected to demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, engaging, and dynamic environment comprised of individuals with a range of backgrounds, skills, and perspectives. We are seeking candidates able to deliver high quality teaching using evidence-based practices to effectively engage students from a range of backgrounds and experiences.

Finance and Managerial Economics

The Finance and Managerial Economics area brings state-of-the-art knowledge to the classroom and active research in the area. Currently, teaching and research fields include, but are not limited to, the following:

Asset Pricing and investment performance
Financial markets
Corporate Finance
Real Estate Finance
The economics of intellectual property and information goods
Experimental and behavioral economics
