Are you ready to join our Wireless Platform Architecture team? In this role, you will be a key member of the platform architecture team involved in the development of wireless technologies at all layers through wireless system modeling and simulations. Wireless technologies have become a crucial part of all Apple devices that delight our customers. Our devices operate in radio environments with various applications, using different wireless technologies. With the latest developments in cellular, WiFi, BT, etc. we utilize a sophisticated simulation platform to study performance of our devices in complicated radio and network conditions. We are looking for an expert wireless systems engineer who has deep understanding of wireless protocol interactions within the network, interactions across different layers of wireless protocols, such as WiFi or BT, and interactions of different technologies within the same device. You will be responsible for modeling the network protocols as well as the effect of the wireless channel and RF interactions of different wireless technologies in the simulation platform. In addition, provide reference simulations and conducting particular studies using the simulation platform.

- Hands-on experience and knowledge of wireless systems and protocols such as LTE/WiFi/Bluetooth, and networking protocols like TCP/IP.
- Experience with transceiver algorithm design
- Understanding of RF and channel propagation
- Skilled in Software languages: C++/C, Python
- Preferred knowledge of event driven simulators
- Familiarity with version control tools
- BS + 10 years of relevant industry experience is required.

Study and design wireless system solution driving the innovation of all existing and new Apple products. You will carry this mission through modeling the end-to-end wireless system, including PHY/RF interactions with different deployment scenarios as well as protocol layer interactions with rick set of applications in a state of the art network simulator including various type of wireless technologies, including cellular 4G/5G, WiFi 802.11ax/be, Bluetooth and other emerging technologies. Study the performance of different algorithms as well as interactions and coexistence of various technologies using this platform and provide crucial data that drives the product decision. Moreover, develop new wireless technologies and innovations to meet the challenges of our next product. Finally, the platform and modeling developed by you is the development engine that benefits cross functional teams in wireless domain inside Apple.

BS + 10 years of relevant industry experience is required. MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science/PhD is preferred.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,700 and $284,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
