Introduction to Shield AI
Founded in 2015, Shield AI is a venture-backed defense technology company whose mission is to protect service members and civilians with intelligent systems. In pursuit of this mission, Shield AI is building the world's best AI pilot. Its AI pilot, Hivemind, has flown a fighter jet (F-16), a vertical takeoff and landing drone (V-BAT), and a quadcopter (Nova). The company has offices in San Diego, Dallas, Washington DC and abroad. Hivemind software is designed to be applied to a variety of platforms. Applying AI to pre-existing hardware systems unlocks new capabilities, including robotic teaming, intelligent GPS- and communications-denied maneuver, swarming and ever-improving mission performance.
Nova is the leading AI-powered aerial robot capable of both outdoor and autonomous indoor, self-directed flight. Creating unprecedented visibility, Nova operates independently in complex and contested environments, leveraging AI to determine what it should do, when it should do it and how it should complete the task.
V-BAT is a long endurance Group 3 Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) UAS perfectly suited for land-based and maritime operations. It combines the latest payload technology, an open architecture framework for mission specific modularity, and is designed explicitly for runway and equipment independent launch and recover in austere environments.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:- Lead large capture campaigns with a primary focus on international customers.
- This role will focus on connecting the dots from our international end users to our US Government program offices. You will lead Foreign Military Sales (FMS) efforts from start to finish.
- Grow and establish Shield AI's portfolio within the US government and allied partners.
- Provide guidance, advice, and support to the leadership team regarding business investments and priorities
- Develop and maintain close, trusted partner relationships with offices of senior military and civilian US Government customers, current and prospective customers, as well as industry partners and suppliers
- Detailed experience working with FMS/FMF cases within the US Government while working directly with a foreign government to execute a purchase order
- You have a Bachelor's degree, and 2+ years of management, sales or operational experience within the DoD
- A minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
- You have a thorough understanding and knowledge of the military operations and the acquisition process that allows you to maintain strong customer relations
- You're self-motivated and results-oriented, with demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding critical goals and deadlines
- You want to help build the defining defense technology company of this century
- You are an exceptional communicator: strong written, verbal, and presentation skills and the ability to communicate seamlessly at all levels of business and government
- You are a charismatic leader, with the ability to motivate and inspire others and impart excitement about Shield AI's mission, technology, and products
- Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally, frequently and without restriction, including customer sites
- Detailed experience working with FMS/FMF cases within the US Government while working directly with a foreign government to execute a purchase order
- MBA or related Master's degree in a related field, and 5+ years of leadership and/or operational experience within the DoD
- Demonstrated understanding of specific Army/Navy/etc. operational scenarios and systems
- Strong research and analysis skills
- Active Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance

Total package details:
Regular employee positions: Salary within range listed above + Bonus + Benefits + Equity (if applicable)
Temporary employee positions: Hourly within range listed above + temporary benefits package (applicable after 60 days of employment)
