The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. Since its founding in 1983, HJF has served as a vital link between the military medical community and its federal and private partners. HJF's support and administrative capabilities allow military medical researchers and clinicians to maintain their scientific focus and accomplish their research goals.

This position will be in support of the Naval Health Research Center (NHRC) in San Diego, CA. Service members with injuries often require numerous doctor visits to diagnose and treat the symptoms following their injuries. In particular vestibular dysfunction, sleep disorders, and cognitive issues often occur in this population. Rehabilitation for these patients with insomnia or concussion, can be a long and expensive process. It is necessary that we find better ways to prevent, diagnose, assess, and provide more effective treatments that are available to Service members in a wider range of settings, including clinics, deployment sites and even within the home.

HJF is seeking a Scientist III to lead the development and execution of research projects. Supervises projects and investigates the feasibility of applying a wide variety of scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions, products, and problems. Develops new technologies and protocols.
