POSITION TITLE: VP Philanthropy

POSITION SUMMARY:

We're seeking a dedicated VP of Philanthropy to lead our fundraising efforts and help us make a lasting impact on the world. Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, you'll have the opportunity to shape our fundraising strategies and cultivate meaningful relationships with donors who share our vision.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Provide strategic leadership to our Philanthropy Office team, guiding the development and execution of fundraising initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate the impact of philanthropic support on our groundbreaking research.
  • Oversee annual giving programs and develop strategies for planned giving, including charitable trusts and bequests.
  • Cultivate relationships with donors and seek out strategic partnerships to enhance our financial sustainability.
  • Implement effective data management practices to support our fundraising efforts.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in philanthropy, with at least 7 years in senior executive roles.
  • Deep understanding of fundraising principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of ethical guidelines and legal regulations related to fundraising activities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • A passion for scientific discovery and a commitment to advancing our mission.

COMPENSATION: The expected hiring range for this position is $260,000+ commensurate with experience. Consideration will be given to experience that exceeds the listed requirements.
