Position Overview:

Denton City County Day School is seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Director to lead our institution to new heights of excellence. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the school's operations, including academic programs, strategic planning, financial management, fundraising, and community engagement. Additionally, the Executive Director will play a pivotal role in building strong leadership teams and fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture among staff, students, parents, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Vision: Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to advance the mission and goals of Denton City County Day School.
  • Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, including academic programming, budgeting, facilities management, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage the school's budget, ensure financial sustainability, and identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization.
  • Fundraising and Development: Lead fundraising efforts, cultivate donor relationships, and secure financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners.
  • Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, alumni, community leaders, and other stakeholders to enhance the school's visibility and reputation.
  • Board Relations: Work closely with the Board of Directors to develop policies, set strategic priorities, and ensure effective governance.
  • Staff Development: Recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing team of administrators, faculty, and staff members.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the school community and champion efforts to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Collaborate with local organizations, educational institutions, and government agencies to expand educational opportunities and resources for students and families.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor key performance indicators, assess program effectiveness, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of education and student outcomes.


  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field required; Masters and/or Doctorate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a senior administrative role, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.
  • Strong understanding of educational administration, curriculum development, and pedagogical best practices.
  • Proven track record of financial management, fundraising success, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others, build consensus, and foster a positive organizational culture.
  • Knowledge of local educational policies, regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and educational management software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $54,472.75 - $70,601.59 per year
