Accounting Analyst

Job Description


As an Accounting Analyst for Effecture, you will maintain the financial records and be responsible for ensuring that the company's financial records are complete and accurate.

Duties:

  • Assist with accounts payable, including entering vendor invoices and monitoring payments.
  • Handle accounts receivable tasks, such as creating invoices in Excel, reconciling invoices in accounting software, reviewing current and year-to-date billing, and initiating rate adjustment invoices.
  • Process payroll, involving labor data input, payroll processing, employee expense report review, state/jurisdiction setup, PTO maintenance, bank draft posting, and 401k calculations.
  • Provide project and contract support by monitoring contract and funding status and assisting with monthly financial inputs for reports.
  • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring reconciliation of accounts, monthly closing, and making necessary monthly adjusting entries.
  • Support other financial functions, including annual budgeting, year-end closeout assistance for tax preparers/controllers, cost proposal support, and various project management tasks.
 

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and Deltek accounting software.
  • 4-6 years of experience with accounting principles and finance.
  • Experience in a government contracting/accounting environment is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration and engagement.
