Job Description
The Salem State University School of Nursing is seeking applicants for a full-time, tenure-track, nine-month contract faculty position in the Graduate School to begin Fall 2025. The School of Nursing seeks faculty members who are dedicated to educational excellence, thrive in a student centered teaching program, and have a strong interest in preparing a nursing workforce able to meet the many challenges of today’s health care environment. Faculty members also serve the department through curriculum development, program evaluation, and policy development and evaluation.

Candidates are required to perform duties in accordance with the MSCA contract. Duties include teaching, advising, scholarship and contributions to continuously improve the department and university. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. The position is subject to available funding.
Required Qualifications:
- A master of science in nursing (MSN)
- With a minimum of 5 years of RN practice experience
- Possession of or ability to obtain an active Massachusetts RN and/or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An earned doctoral degree in nursing or a related discipline
- Evidence of beginning program of research
- Experience in: undergraduate and graduate nursing curriculum, instructional technologies, program development and evaluation
- Experience in and enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring in a multi-racial, multi-ethnic environment with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
- Previous teaching experience at the college/university level is strongly preferred
