The Parker Accounting Internship Program offers an invaluable opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the dynamic field of corporate and manufacturing accounting. This paid internship is designed to develop new talent by providing hands-on experience with real-world projects, tasks, and challenges, ultimately serving as a springboard into the Accounting Leadership Development Program.
* Participate in both targeted projects, including administrative assignments and broader programmatic initiatives related to finance and accounting in support of business objectives.
* Contribute to journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
* Completes closing and forecasting projects and duties as provided by manager.
* Follows GAAP policies and methods.
* Performs ad hoc projects for plant accountants and business unit managers.
* Provide functional support for the location as part of the finance and accounting team.
* Follow established safety and environmental policies, procedures, and methods applicable to the work area.
* Perform other duties as necessary.
Education:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
* Currently pursuing a BA or BS in Accounting or Finance at an accredited 4-year college or university, with an expected graduation date in 2025 or 2026.
* Minimum GPA of 3.5, required
Experience:
* Prior Accounting or Finance Internship experience, preferred
* Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), preferred
Skills:
* Working knowledge in Excel, Power-Bi, and Microsoft Suite
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively as a team member.
* Ability to speak, read, and write English, required
* Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish, preferred
* Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
* Willingness to learn and take initiative.
* Interest in pursuing a career in finance or accounting
* Interest in manufacturing and continuous improvement
Physical Demands:
* Must have reliable transportation.
* Ability to work for extended periods of time while sitting.
* Ability to use hands and fingers for extended periods of time.
This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident ["green card" holders], or have refugee or asylee status).

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $16.85/hr - $24.00/hr
