Job Description:
This position will serve as Research Assistant within the Institute for Trauma Recovery in the Department of Psychiatry. The Institute for Trauma Recovery seeks to advance understanding of trauma recovery and develop interventions that improve recovery. The foundation of our success is our fantastic team of faculty and staff. The Research Assistant assists with the execution of study protocols, including screening and recruiting study participants, conducting study visits, and collecting, entering, and reviewing study data.

Other Work/Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this position is to support the PIs, Institute Managing Director, Research Project Manager, and lead coordinators on several current and pending research projects. Duties will include supporting the lead coordinator with study start-up activities, assisting in conducting study activities, tracking patients in the study, conducting telephone surveys with enrolled participants, screening potentially eligible patients and consenting patients, as well as maintaining accurate and updated manuals of procedures for the studies.



Minimum Experience/Education

  • Required: 
    • Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work and communicate with diverse populations effectively and professionally. Ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Specialized knowledge in clinical research principles. Ability to problem solve and resolve quality control issues by changing processes.
