If so, we're looking for someone like you to join our HRIS Analytics and Applications team at APL!

 

We are looking for a team lead to help us achieve our organizational objectives by continuously evaluating our current Human Resource application platforms and processes. Our goals include optimizing our current investments and making recommendations to improve operations and enhance the user experience.

 

You will join a team passionate about the future while navigating the complexities of our current design. We strive to provide exceptional customer support and employ creative problem-solving to deliver straightforward solutions in a complex environment.

 

As the HRIS Operations Manager, your primary responsibilities will include managing a small team responsible for all data processing and customer support within our current Workday environment, as well as assisting with the configuration of core HCM data components. You will work closely with HR functions, providing tactical leadership and technical strategy related to core HCM functions.

 

In addition, your responsibilities will include…

  • Understanding the configuration and effective utilization of HRIS applications
  • Maintaining HRIS operations, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of Core HCM data
  • Gathering and detailing business requirements and translating them into technical requirements; performing fit/gap analysis
  • Evaluating and recommending the best approaches, and ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and informed throughout the project lifecycle Providing information to inform leadership in their decision-making
  • Managing the reorganization process
  • Overseeing ongoing HRIS support, training, and troubleshooting for HR staff and other end-users
  • Contributing to the overall HR technology strategies as a member of our leadership team; help bridge the gap between HR business needs, employee experience, and technology.

Qualifications

 You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you have…

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or other relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of business systems analysis experience with demonstrable understanding of HR Information Systems such as Workday, iCIMS or Saba/Cornerstone
  • The ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of constituents
  • Demonstrated capability to quickly learn new applications to support business function requirements
  • Competence to synthesize difficult concepts and clearly describe them to non-technical users and developing operation policies and practices
  • A solid understanding of regulatory and legislative requirements that affect Human Resources 

You will go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you have…

  • A Master 's degree
  • Strong change management and communication skills
  • Experience with Digital Adoption Platforms and Training tools
  • A Business Systems Analysis, PMI-PBA certification or other relevant certification
  • Strong Workday Core HCM Business Process / Configuration skills and/or Workday Implementation experience
  • Reporting Analytics and Workday Reporting tools (i.e., Power BI, Advanced Reporting, Dashboards)

The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level with consideration for internal parity. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and/or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments for exceptional performance. APL provides eligible staff with a comprehensive benefits package including retirement plans, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, education assistance, and training and development. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.


Minimum Rate

$105,000 Annually

Maximum Rate

$255,000 Annually
