General Job Description

*Performs a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for assigned clinic patients directed by the Clinic Director and/or Director of Nursing in order to facilitate the delivery of prompt, quality care.

Job Roles

*Ensures course objectives are maintained and sustained after program completion.

*Helps Charge Nurse and Assistant Charge Nurse ensure quality standards are met throughout the year.

*Participates in teaching/training of nurses and medical assistants as assigned and act as resource to other healthcare personnel. Completes make-up sessions as time permits.

*Performs other duties as assigned

*Reviews patient care processes with nurses and medical assistants and assesses their level of understanding. Makes recommendations related to training and skills development to Director of Nursing.

Education/Certifications/Licenses/Registrations

*At least 1 year of experience in ambulatory care setting or similar setting; is highly desirable.

*Current CPR certification required.

*High school graduate or equivalent.

*Medical Assistant diploma.

Experience/Specialized skills (including Language)

*Ability to provide feedback effectively to students and leadership.

*Ability to work extended hours.

*Competency in specialty area.

*Decision making and problem-solving skills.

*Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

*Leadership skills.

*Must have regular/full time status at clinic site.

*Positive professional attitude.

*Teaching skills.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base range for this position, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.

$26.50 - $30.95

If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
